The Internet I grew up with was always pretty casual about authentication: as long as you were willing to take some basic steps to prevent abuse (make an account with a pseudonym, or just refrain from spamming), many sites seemed happy to allow somewhat-anonymous usage. While most of these laws were designed to tackle pornography, but (as many civil liberties folks warned) adult and adult-ajacent content is on almost any user-driven site. Apple continues its gradual unveiling of new products this week with the launch of the Studio Display and an all-new 27-inch Studio Display XDR.
